So, Ive went and bought a new Nikon D810 body. I did a lot of research and with the type of photography that I do it was the perfect match. Weddings, landscape and travel photography is all that this body was built for. I really wanted to have a camera that had the quality so when I knew I was going to create a picture that could have the level of detail and final print size then I had one at hand. i.e the natural shots of a newly wed couple, a picture perfect landscape in Yorkshire (obviously) and the beautiful sunset images of Venice. Not that I have huge prints but just in case.

So at the end of summer this year I moved to North Yorkshire and although I knew the area I hadn’t actually ‘walked’ the area. Its pretty flat in the Vale of York so you don’t get much elevation to get striking landscape shots. I walk because I have to try and wear out my much loved and nutty companion, Frankie. My little shadow, my Springer Spaniel. So who better to test the camera with and try get some shots using my 50mm 1.4D Nikkor Lens.

Below are some of the images
