Towards the end of a work trip to Turkey last year I was driving through some small villages on the way to the airport. I stumbled across a small shack in little village outside of Alanya, Antalya. Inside was a gentleman who was hammering away at something on one of his work tables. The kind that you had at school in woodwork class, only this looked like it had been used for decades. Hasan was his name, a proud gentle giant who worked as a blacksmith in rural Turkey. Below is a small photo essay of him and his shack.
